    The military provided two options for the use of your Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
    The first option is to live on base. Your second option is to use your BAH to buy or rent a home off base. We provide you with military friendly information to help you maximize your BAH.

    • The Housing Management Office (808) 448-6887 can answer all of your on- or off-base housing questions. They also provide services such as: counseling and guidance before entering into a lease agreement, housing referrals, and resolving tenant-landlord disputes.

    Hickam AFB On Base Housing

    • The Unaccompanied Housing Office (808) 448-6815 provides housing support for single soldiers serving both Hickam and Pearl Harbor. For Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard click here.

    • Hickam AFB on-base housing is privatized and operated by Winn Communities (888) 329-4758, which offers 2-5 bedroom apartments, townhomes and duplexes based on rank and family size. The amenities includes A/C, washer & dryer or washer/dryer hookups, swimming pool, spray park, dog park, basketball courts and fitness center.

    Surrounding Areas
    Honolulu is right outside Hickam, with nearby housing. It is about 17 minutes from downtown Honolulu to Hickam, but the city has the some of the most congested traffic in the USA and travel times can vary significantly. There is generally housing closer than central Honolulu in any case. Honolulu follows the island's coastline and is clustered and limited. There are a fairly high number of high-rise buildings, including housing space. The cities near Hickam AFB are: Waipahu, Ewa Beach, Pearl City, Aiea, and Honolulu.

    Hickam Field is located in Honolulu, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. It is home to the Pacific Air Force, 15th Wing, and 15th Operations Group. Hickam Field supports the Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command and the Commander of the Pacific Air Forces.
